The Winter Blues

At this point of the school year, it is easy to fall into a slump. Winter Break is a distant memory, it's cold outside, and Spring still seems too far away to tease ourselves with. For you senior speech students, I am sure you can feel the senioritis setting in. Though this time of year may not be the most exciting, and everyone gets the urge to slack off a bit, I encourage everyone to stick with it when it comes to school. Third quarter is on it's way out in a couple of weeks, and with the beginning of fourth quarter comes another opportunity for greatness. Get yourself focused and push through with assignments and exams. Using your schoolwork as a focus can help you beat those winter blues, and hey, you might have some improved grades to show for it! It is never too late to turn things around, so let's stick together and continue through this great school year!

Who doesn't love a good puppy video?? This video features a puppy of my favorite breed of dogs, Airedale Terriers. It will definitely make those winter blues go away! :)

A New Journey?

 

This is definitely a new experience for me. The thought of creating and maintaining my own blog really never crossed my mind. What would I post on it? What would my focus be? After many questions ran through my head, I felt that the most beneficial audience for my very first blog would be my students. So here it is: AA English and Speech. The blog is meant to provide some classroom extras for my students as well as reminders of important due dates. It is my hope that students can explore the blog and get some extra help when they need it.
