Book Recommendations

With every student reading at least seven books throughout the school year, there are bound to be some great recommendations. Read a good book? Tell us about it through a comment on this page. Give the title, author, and a quick overview. I will also add suggestions, so check often. Keep recommending, and keep checking out what your peers are reading!!!

Recommendation:
By far my favorite book of the year, The Help by Kathryn Stockett is a must-read! The book is set in the South during the 1960's at the heart of the Civil Rights Movement. The main character, Skeeter writes a book from the perspective of the help. Awesome book AND movie, but you have to read the book first to truly appreciate it!

Recommendation:
If you are a dog-lover, this book is for you. The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein is a great book. It is told from the perspective of a dog as he tells the story of the life he has as well as the lives of his family members. Check it out!
